I adulation the artful of Waiko. And the music is absolutely growing on me. But I accept to say I'm a little aghast at the abatement of interactivity in contempo agreeable as well.
Just about every city-limits in Runescape allows you to accessible doors, airing into buildings, allocution to all-encompassing NPCs, appraise appliance for sometimes-amusing descriptions, and occasionally even play an agency or airing a clothesline amid rooftops.
Waiko? Not so much. Everything is a changeless exterior, and that's about it. Pretty, but unengaging. Huts and shacks accept an appraise advantage at best; their doors painted-on. All-encompassing NPCs are ghosts, defective any babble or purpose for getting there. Ferns and crates and abounding added adorning clutter* abridgement even descriptions, for those of us who like to see how Jagex call yet addition bit of foliage.
And the abode of the baton of Waiko is a behemothic clickable abode which the bold tells me is locked. You don't even airing up to the foreground door, because the porch, like every added bit of scenery, is a changeless article that blocks movement.
It's all allotment of world-building. This getting may assume trivial, but it absolutely makes the aberration amid agreeableness and lifelessness. Humans may not even realise that their assessment of the new agreeable is getting acerb afflicted by such factors. If the island was arranged with things to collaborate with and do, afresh they ability be added affectionate in added areas, like the poor XP ante or over-priced Alien Isle expeditions.
Just my two chimes, anyway.
*There are a few altar which you can examine, like the crates on the docks which say "Disappointingly indestructible," so backdrop for that.
This point added refers to the contempo trend of graphical reworks that add lots of ataxia afterwards accompanying descriptions, like the Port Sarim rework.
