Since the balancing changes made yesterday, Runescape have paid close attention to the feedback you have been giving. We'd like to follow this up with a couple of minor tweaks today, taking on board the feedback we have seen.
Serpentine Helm
The primary concern we have seen following yesterday's update is that the Serpentine Helm does not offer enough for a costly, top tier helm. After reviewing yesterday's changes, we agree.
To address this, we have now made the following change: when worn, the Serpentine Helm has a chance of applying venom to NPCs attacked with melee combat. Venom is not applied to NPCs who attack you.
While this means you won't be able to passively kill monsters afar, you will be able to apply venom to specific monsters you target with melee.
Elite Void Ranged
Following the change to the Void Ranged set, a request was made for us to improve the stats of the Elite Void Ranged set as it has higher requirements.
While we are not restoring the boost of Elite Void Ranged to what it was, we have now increased the damage boost of Elite Void Ranged 10% to 12.5%.
We hope that this change will create a bit more of a distinction between the standard Void equipment and the Elite set.
We are also aware that the community have felt that the Magic Void set simply isn't worth using. We definitely agree, and we are open to discussing improvements to this set - if you have suggestions, be sure to send them our way!
Shark Fishing - Further Consideration
Currently, fishing sharks at any level is quite slow. To address this, we will be considering content changes which will offer more effective ways to fish sharks.
This could be something as simple as an unlockable, invisible boost when fishing within the guild, or improvements to the rewards of Fishing Trawler. These changes would be locked behind requirements (perhaps Quest or Achievement Diary requirements) in order to reserve the benefits for legitimate pla
This is a discussion that we will be having with the community - so please be sure to let us know your thoughts and suggestions.
