We all still drop in on our RuneScape accounts every now and then to see what's going on in between WoW expansion packs and various other MMORPG sequels. So if you're looking to get your dungeoneering on this weekend, look no further than your old friend RuneScape, which is having an XP event this weekend.

Paid RuneScapers will get a full double XP for just about everything they do in-game. If you're on one of the free servers, you'll receive a much lower (but still helpful) 1.2 multiplier to your XP gain. This is the first time that players on the free-to-play worlds get to party, too. The XP boost will stack with any other XP-boosting items you may already have, such as the Lumberjack outfit. As a nice bonus, this is all happening during a Halloween-themed event, too.

I know many of us probably aren't regular RuneScape players any more -- and hey, even I find it difficult to make time for other MMOs in between harvesting my juicycrunch carrots in WoW -- but if you're keen for a nostalgia hit, this might be just the thing for the weekend. The XP event is already running, and it ends at 8am EST on Monday.
